About Cheryl
When Cheryl works with a client, she is all in. She listens carefully to the client’s goals, interests, desires, concerns, and questions. She cares deeply about helping the client achieve breakthroughs and get results and has a knack for digging deeper to learn more, culling out greater possibilities for growth and improvement. Cheryl focuses on strengths, talent, skills, and operational excellence, capitalizing on what is going well while having a keen eye for opportunities. She uses critical thinking and creativity to help the client solve problems.
Her work is founded in positive psychology principles and clients feel and benefit from her energetic spirit. Cheryl supports and helps empower people seeking clarity, direction, improvement and growth in their careers and their lives, focusing on their strengths and what’s possible. She brings a combination of respect, empathy and authenticity to her experience with business and personal clients alike, with attention to goals, possibilities, action and results.
In addition to individual private clients ranging from recent college grads embarking on their first professional venture to experienced experts seeking to up their game, Cheryl works considerably with large corporations and small non-profit organizations.
Cheryl holds a Master of Education degree with an emphasis in positive coaching, and a graduate certificate in positive psychology, both from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Northern Illinois University, and is a graduate of Coach University, Inc.’s coach training program.
Cheryl is a member of the International Coach Federation, as well as the Institute of Coaching at McClean Hospital, and the International Positive Psychology Association.
