Mission
Everyone Matters
As the late psychologist Chris Peterson said long before it was a popular catchphrase, “other people matter”. The other people he referenced was everybody.
As a professional and a perpetual student trained in positive psychology, I care deeply about maximizing positive well-being. Relationships are imperative to well-being and contribute to a sense of meaning. Research shows that relationships improve when we serve others’ needs.
Authenticity, compassion and communication are all important factors in building meaningful relationships. I strive to model them and encourage them in others. Keenly attuned to the interests and feelings of other people, I utilize this strength to coach and consult effectively and put others at ease, cultivating and deepening relationships. Together, we invest time building rapport and exploring through dialogue and tools. With thoughtful inquiry and listening with care, I encourage each client’s important story to unfold in service of progress toward their goals. “Other people matter.” I try to make sure they know it.
It is my aim to use my strengths and talents to help people realize the power of their own resources, to help themselves and shape their own experiences. Part of this perspective includes recognizing the freedom of choice, in how one thinks and acts — and the results of those choices. Another part is teaching tools and techniques to increase personal empowerment. My mission is to lead and influence others to discover their best selves and build the confidence to be WHO they are—and to celebrate that!
